Today, the foil is revolutionizing sailing and windsurfing, and the Techno 130 Windfoil is part of this new wave with its innovative concept. Launched a year ago, it has already been a huge success because it performs equally well as a foil or funboard. It's a logical mix of concepts and ideal for having fun in all conditions! It has also proved a winner with numerous sailing clubs, offering their young riders a board that provides the link between the Techno 293 OD and the Olympic foil board. A new international One Design Class is picking up...
TOP QUALITY SHAPE FOR MIXED FOIL/SLALOM SAILING
The Techno 130 Windfoil board has been designed by Jean-Marie Guiriec, one of the best shapers currently active. It enables planing in as little as 10 knots with the foil fitted, and to ride slalom in stronger winds by switching from the foil to the fin. It’s a top-performing 100% hybrid board, very accessible, and a perfect fit for junior monotype racing.
A TOUGH, LIGHT WEIGHT BOARD AT AN AFFORDABLE PRICE
Like the Techno 293 OD, the Techno 130 Windfoil is manufactured in our factory in Brittany, France, using our unique production processes to deliver a board that is light weight, solid and durable. The glass/carbon reinforced thermoformed manufacture has a knocks and shocks resistance superior to other materials. This ensures unrivalled longevity. This solid strength is a determining factor for clubs and schools investing in new equipment that will be used intensively. Its affordable price tag, which applies not only to the board itself but also all the individual spare parts and components is also a key factor for clubs and families
A TOUGH, HIGH-PERFORMANCE FOIL 100% MADE IN FRANCE
A new Freeride foil is now available to fit to the Techno 130 Windfoil board. Specially designed for this particular shape, its aims are: easy access/learning, fast take-off, top performance, and simple easy control in flight. We've also opted for a French manufacturer to produce it, using exclusively aviation-grade carbon fiber to deliver maximum rigidity and excellent durability. A new foil more oriented towards competition use is actually under development, looking towards mono-type foil board racing. It will be the official foil for the new international foil class.
CLEAN FRENCH MANUFACTURE
Tahe Outdoors manufactures in France, close to some of the country’s biggest, most-frequented windsurf spots, which reduces transport needs and CO2 emissions. Tahe Outdoors has always insisted on investing in sustainable practices, with a 360 degree environmental politic. Almost all our suppliers (molds, accessories, fins, paint…) are located in western France. The polystyrene foam cores are made at our production facility. Production makes almost zero greenhouse gas or pollutant emissions during the manufacture of our products and all off-cuts from the manufacturing process are recycled or re-used.
